Avatar: The Last Airbender follows the story of a young boy suspected of being the incarnation of the "Spirit of the Planet." Embark on a quest with your friends in order to bring harmony to the world and master its elements. Players can use the Wii remote control to attack -- swing up or down for one attack and left or right for the other. Perform team based attacks with friends.
Barnyard - ($49.99)
Barnyard is an adaptation of the GameCube version. Although no new additions are planned, the game will make full use of the Wii remote control. The game follows the events of the movie and places the player in control of familiar characters. Players roam the barnyard and play mini-games including golf, driving, and darts which have proven to be ideal for the Wiimote.
Blazing Angels: Squadrons of WWII - ($49.99)
Blazing Angels: Squadrons of WWII is a flight combat game originally released for Xbox 360 -- which has a 67 percent average review ranking. The game will feature 42 different World War II planes that the player can use throughout 18 missions of famous events. While the Xbox version features an online mode, Ubisoft has not confirmed further omissions or additions.
Blitz: The League - ($49.99)
Blitz: The League is an extension of Midway's NFL Blitz series. It takes an 'extreme' angle compared to traditional football games. The title was released for PlayStation 2 and Xbox in 2005 and received a 77 percent average review ranking. Midway reveals it has updated the game with special functionality for release on Wii. The game features a campaign mode with 18 teams.
Call of Duty 3 - ($49.99)
Call of Duty 3 is the latest in the popular World War II first person shooter series. This installment centers around the Normandy Breakout. Players play as American, British and for the first time, Canadian and Polish soliders. More hand to hand combat will be featured including throwing grenades and enemy soldiers trying to rip the weapon out of your hands.
Disney and Pixar's Cars - ($49.99)
Cars is based on the animated film of the same name by Pixar Animation. Although Cars has already seen release on current platforms including GameCube, THQ has decided to utilize the unique features of the Wii remote. The game's story continues where the film left off and offers players both racing as well as adventure sequences using the over a dozen playable characters.
Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2 - ($49.99)
Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2 is being touted as the first fighting game to take full advantage of the Wii remote control. Despite early hype, the developer has since confirmed players can also use the traditional GameCube controller. The game will feature fully 3D destructible worlds and over 100 playable characters from the Dragon Ball universe.
Elebits - ($49.99)
Elebits is both unique and strange. Players visit a quiet neighborhood where they must use their Wii remote as a gravity zapper. This device gives them the ability to pick up anything from pots and pans to entire homes. Your goal is to collect the mysterious, cute little critters called Elebits. Elebits then give you the power needed to explore even more places.
Excite Truck - ($49.99)
Excite Truck is Nintendo's debut racer. The title is a homage to the Excitebike series of motorbike games, only now with trucks. The game has an extreme edge, featuring lightening fast speed and terrain that morphs to cause havoc for your opponents. Players take hold of the remote with both hands like a steering wheel and tilt the device forward or back to control jumps and landings.
Far Cry Vengeance - ($49.99)
In Far Cry, players take the role of Jack Carver in a crazy adventure of shooting, jumping, and driving through a tropical forest full of enemy combatants. The Wii remote will be put to full use as a gun, grenade thrower, and steering wheel. Far Cry is said to feature elements from the sequel Far Cry Instincts Evolution as well as a new storyline, new maps, characters and gear.
GT Pro Series - ($49.99)
GT Pro Series is an extension of MTO's multiplatform GT racing series. Previous titles include GT Cube for GameCube and GT Advance for Game Boy Advance. This latest title is being developed exclusively for Wii to take full advantage of the Wii remote. The game will feature over 80 licensed cars, a variety of ways to tune your vehicles and fluid drift-style controls and physics.
Madden NFL 2007 - ($49.99)
After EA purchased the exclusive rights to the NFL license years back, Madden has become the premier football title. Madden NFL '07 for Wii will be defined by the unique control enabled by the Wii remote. Players will perform all actions with the motion sensitive device including launching the ball for a pass. How will traditional sports players react to the new controls?
Marvel: Ultimate Alliance - ($49.99)
Marvel Ultimate Alliance combines over 24 Marvel Super Heroes including Spider-Man, Wolverine, Blade and Captain America in an epic action RPG to save planet Earth and the Marvel Universe. Players can customize their players and teams to create the ultimate fighting alliance. The Wii nunchaku controller is said to work well for throwing, flying, and swimming in the game.
Metal Slug Anthology - ($49.99)
Metal Slug Anthology is a compilation of SNK's infamous series. The game will include Metal Slug, Metal Slug 2, Metal Slug X, Metal Slug 3, Metal Slug 4 and Metal Slug 5 updated to take advantage of the Wii remote control. The game will also feature a two player multiplayer mode. The Metal Slug series was first released in 1996 on the Neo-Geo as a side-scrolling action game.
Monster 4x4 World Circuit - ($49.99)
Monster 4x4 World Circuit was released on the Xbox earlier this year and received below average reviews. The Wii title is being re-developed with new features and Wii remote compatibility. Players can choose from a variety of monster trucks to win races and boost stats. The game boasts several modes including world tour and single play as well as four-player multiplayer.
Need for Speed Carbon - ($49.99)
Do you have a Need for Speed? EA believes you do. The company will utilize the motion sensing features of the Wii remote so players can interact with their cars. Players are encouraged to customize their cars and mold the ultimate racer. You must keep your crew close in your race to protect the city and conquer those of your rivals. The showdown will occur in Carbon Canyon.
Open Season - ($49.99)
Open Season is based on the Sony Pictures animated film of the same name. Players will take control of the game's animal characters using the Wii remote. Your goal as a grizzly named Boog and deer named Elliot is to work with the other animals to rid the hunters from your forest. Open Season is being released for all platforms including GameCube, Nintendo DS and GBA.
Rapala Tournament Fishing - ($49.99)
If there was ever a game perfect for the Wii remote, this would be it. Activision's arcade-style fishing series is released under its Activision Value brand. Although somewhat of a niche genre, past Rapala games have received average reviews. Rapala Tournament Fishing features two modes of play including free fishing and tournament fishing using the Wii remote.
Rayman Raving Rabbids - ($49.99)
Rayman Raving Rabbids is being developed by renowned director Michel Ancel, known for titles such as Beyond Good and Evil. A variety of humorous mini-games are planned. In Rayman Raving Rabbids, players must help Rayman battle, dance and rise up against the crazed army of bunnies. Alongside Red Steel, Raving Rabbids is one of the most anticipated third-party games.
Red Steel - ($49.99)
Red Steel is an exclusive first person shooter in development for Wii. It was also the first title ever announced for the console. Players will use both guns and swords against advanced foes. Holding the Wii remote sideways for example will translate on-screen. Interactive environments and graphics further increase the appeal of what could very well be the best launch title.
SpongeBob SquarePants: Creature from the Krusty Krab - ($49.99)
SpongeBob SquarePants: Creature from the Krusty Krab is the latest in the SpongeBob game series. The Wii remote will create new gameplay mechanics that players can use to travel through Bikini Bottom's nine different levels, one of which features 2D side-scrolling. Several modes and a variety of mini-games will be included including Flight and Free Area.
Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz - ($49.99)
Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz is the latest in Sega's Monkey Ball series. Players roll monkeys encased in plastic balls down narrow paths to reach the banana-promised goal. In addition, a multitude of mini-party games are included such as whack-a-mole, ring toss, and jump rope. A first in the series will be the ability to jump, accomplished with a flick of the Wii Remote control.
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess - ($49.99)
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess is the most highly anticipated title of 2006. The game has been in development for over three years with its first unveiling at E3 2004. While the title will also release on the GameCube, the Wii version will utilize the unique features of the motion sensing remote. Fueled by high expectations, this is possibly Nintendo's most expensive title ever.
Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam - ($49.99)
Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam is a new take on the Tony Hawk franchise. Instead of casually doing tricks in a local skate park, players are instead doing tricks while racing frantically down hills in locations around the world. The Wii remote is held horizontally while playing. Unlike a steering wheel however, players will tilt the controller in the direction they wish to zoom downhill.
Trauma Center: Second Opinion - ($49.99)
Trauma Center Second Opinion is a remake of Trauma Center: Under the Knife for the Nintendo DS. With anime style graphics, players take the role of doctor to save the lives of patients. Atlus has confirmed that the Wii version will contain new content including surgical implements, operation types, multiple difficulty levels, and revised Wii remote controls.
World Series of Poker - ($49.99)
Activision's World Series of Poker series began in 2005. It wasn't regarded favorably by reviewers but sold decently enough thanks to its low price as part of the Activision Value brand. The game features all the recognizable poker games such as Texas Hold 'Em, 7 Card Stud, Omaha, and 5 Card Draw as well as the ability to create your own poker face to use in the game.
