IGN DS is carrying an interview with NOA senior director of corporate communications Beth Llewelyn on Nintendo's upcoming announcement that Wi-Fi Connection will be available for free in McDonald's restaurants via Wayport.

In the interview, Llewelyn says Nintendo intends to promote the Wi-Fi Connection "very, very heavily" leading up to the release of the first Wi-Fi Connection title, Mario Kart DS. Llewelyn also revealed Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection USB adapter will start off only being available at Nintendo's online store.

More details about the service and places you can go to play it will be available at NintendoWiFi.com as the service's launch approaches.
