The Virtual Console retro game download service will support games released for the MSX arcade system, according to Nintendo and IGN. The MSX joins five other consoles including the NES, SNES, Nintendo 64, Sega Genesis and TurboGrafx. HAL Laboratory previously developed games for the MSX, where it became known for its Eggerland series. It is one of nearly 24 companies that have pledged support for Nintendo's Virtual Console. No further specifics on titles and consoles have been announced however the companies include:

Nintendo said it will release 60 Virtual Console games in Japan by the end of the year. Over 30 games are expected to appear within the North American launch of the Wii. In January, Nintendo intends to release an additional 10 games each month. Games will be sold based on points (1 point = $0.01). NES titles will cost 500 points ($5), SNES 800 points ($8), and Nintendo 64 games will set you back 1000 points ($10).
Beyond retro titles, Nintendo has confirmed the Virtual Console will allow distribution of new content. No further details at this time. Check out a few videos below.
