Square Enix president Yoichi Wada told Japanese news publication Mainichi Interactive that the company may use a mutliplatform strategy for franchise sequels on the coming generation of video game platforms. Two game titles, Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest, were specifically mentioned.
"The market for next generation game consoles will be divided into 'high end' and 'low end' according to the wishes of users, so rather than one type of hardware surging ahead, the share will be divided between various game consoles," said Wada.
