Nintendo has raised its expected Nintendo DS shipments from 17 million to 20 million units worldwide for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2007. Likewise, its estimated software shipments have increased from 75 million to 82 million.
The Game Boy Advance is also expected to get a boost to 3.3 million units from an initial estimate of 2.5 million. Software shipment estimates have also increased from 30 million to 32 million.
In all, Nintendo's estimated consolidated operating profits for the full year have increased from 125 billion yen ($1.09 billion) to 145 billion yen ($1.26 billion). There was no word on how the debut of the Wii console is factored into this.
