With the recent release of Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl in Europe, the two games have hit the 10 million mark in worldwide sales.
Diamond and Pearl were the first installments in the series to support online play via the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, enabling players to trade and compete online. The recently-released Pokémon Battle Revolution also brought Wii-DS connectivity to the mix as well as its own online play.
Put together, the franchise, which originally debuted on Game Boy, has hit 110 million in worldwide sales.
