Nintendo said that Play-Yan, the video and MP3 player for the Game Boy Advance and Nintendo DS, features the ability to update its firmware. The first update is the ability to play MP4 video and allow playback of full stereo sound. More information can be found at Nintendo Japan's website. There is currently no word on a North American release.
