In June, Nintendo announced it would establish a new subsidiary in Seoul, Korea, on July 7. The subsidiary was to be led by Nintendo representative Mineo Kouda with capital of around 3 billion yen ($25 million). Recent reports indicate that little progress has been made getting the company off the ground.
According to 4ColorRebellion, the Nintendo Korea staff consists of only four employees in a small office located in the city's red-light district.
