Next Generation is reporting today that Nintendo is in search of manufacturing partners to help ease Wii demand. Currently, Wii production is handled by Foxconn; Asustek, Compal, Inventec and Wistron are all under consideration.

Wii supply has been so tight that even in the face of success beating all other comers, statements are being made like the one by GameStop COO Dan DeMatteo: "This is just my opinion - I think they intentionally dried up supply because they made their numbers for the year"—a charge NOA's George Harrison denies.
