Nintendo Brain Train, Satoru Iwata, Beth Llewelyn, Takao Ohara, talk Wi-Fi Connection, Nintendo DS and Nintendo Revolution

Several juicy interviews have come out of the Game Developers Conference this week. We would hate for you to miss out on any of them so we've taken the liberty of compiling a comprehensive list below.

  • Animal Crossing - Game director Katsuya Eguchi sat down for an interview with IGN.com to discuss some of feedback received from Animal Crossing: Wild World and the potential features that will be included in the Revolution version. He also mentions the possibility of creating another iteration for the Nintendo DS, however that he is currently very busy with Revolution.

  • Wi-Fi Connection - Takao Ohara, the lead of the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection service facilitated several interviews this week. The first is with IGN.com where he answers several questions regarding the decision to use the Friend Code system. The second is from PlanetGameCube.com where Ohara reveals the costs of developing Wi-Fi compatible games for third-party studios and the reason why the service on Nintendo DS only supports four player games.

  • Revolution - IGN.com posed a list of questions to Beth Llewelyn, NOA director, public relations. Very little info was revealed except for the reiteration that "Revolution" is merely a codename and that we should all look forward to E3 to find out more information about the console, controller and games. Furthermore, Llewelyn confirmed that new games may be offered on Nintendo's Virtual Console service.

  • Release Dates - Nintendo president Satoru Iwata was questioned by the guys over at Tapei Times. He revealed that by April Nintendo hopes to have production of the Nintendo DS Lite to a point where it can sufficiently supply the Japanese market. Further, he remarked that unlike Microsoft and Sony, Nintendo doesn't plan to release the Revolution globally at the same time.

  • Nintendo Strategy - Seattle Times caught up with Nintendo president Satoru Iwata to discuss Nintendo's strategy in the coming generation. Iwata described how he feels Nintendo is similar to Apple, the maker of the iPod digital music player. He also made a comment about his admiration for Sims creator Will Wright.
