Nintendo Japan announced its launch software lineup for the December 2, 2004, release of the Nintendo DS. Meanwhile, Nintendo of America revealed between 10 and 12 games will be released for the Nintendo DS within the first 30 days of the system's launch on November 21, 2004. These titles will include:

Also of note is that Square Enix announced it will release a remake of Final Fantasy III for the DS. A release date was not specified.

Software will retail for approximately $29.99. Nintendo states that nearly 120 games are currently in development for Nintendo DS.
