Curious Wii Shop users in the UK have discovered a somewhat-hidden area of the channel, apparently under construction, that will someday have content relating to the retro games Wii users will buy there.
The "Warp Zone", as it's called, will have facts and trivia about Nintendo's franchise characters. Nintendo UK plans to kick it off sometime in the near future with a look at perpetually piggish pink puffball Kirby.
NOA president Reginald Fils-Aime, in an interview with MTV, suggested similar things may be in the works for American customers. "We have a tremendous amount of old Nintendo Power [magazine] content, for example, that we could present to consumers as a way to get smart about Virtual Console."
