D3Publisher of America, Inc. today announced its first game for the Nintendo DS will be based on the Cartoon Network animated series Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi. The game is anticipated to be released in Q1 2006.
Action is presented on the upper screen while the actual control takes the form of a guitar on a touchscreen, and players can play either single-player or in 2-player Wi-Fi cooperative mode. Minigames such as "make your own sushi" are also included.
