Majesco proudly announced today that upcoming Nintendo DS release Cooking Mama, a cooking simulation game that has attracted some importer interest in its current Japan-only form, garnered a few awards at E3 2006.

Mama secured both IGN's "Most Innovative Design of E3" award as well as GameDaily's "Nod Award", the latter for being "a fun DS game that uses the stylus to near perfection," as GameDaily put it.

The title revolves around using the stylus to prepare 76 different dishes, covering everything from ingredient preparation to cooking. Cooking Mama will be available at a suggested retail price of $19.99 this September.
