69 Reasons to Own the Nintendo GameCube

The Nintendo GameCube will go down in memory as one of the most enjoyable and fulfilling consoles ever released. In a span of over just four years -- since its release in North America on November 18, 2001 -- the Nintendo GameCube has born a home to over 400 game releases. The GameCube has brought together a wealth of defining names -- from Sega's Sonic the Hedgehog, to Capcom's Resident Evil, to Square Enix's Final Fantasy, to Konami's Metal Gear Solid to Namco's Pac-Man -- there's no other console that matches this gathering of great games. This is not even mentioning Nintendo's wealth of first-party games and its Game Boy Advance player that opens the console up to another vast library of entertainment.

Below is a list of 69 reasons to own a Nintendo GameCube, most of which are exclusive (if you're wondering, the number was chosen arbitrarily, heh). If you don't already own a GameCube, here are your reasons to get one. And if you already own one, here are some games you might have overlooked. For the rest of you, I hope this serves as a nostalgic look back. Although the order in which the games are placed is bound to cause conflict with your tastes, please realize this is just one person's perspective on the GameCube's allure. Don't worry though, you can share your thoughts on your favorite GameCube games in the N-Forums.
